Valencia currently 3rd will be going all out for maximum points here at The Mestalla Stadium and hope that either Sevilla or Barcelona will drop points at the top so they can close the gap to them. They will welcome the visit of Racing Santander in 10th spot and going by their powerful home form should get maximum points here.

At home, Valencia have managed 10 wins, 1 draw and just 1 defeat all season. They have scored 26 and have the second best defense conceding just 6 goals after Getafe. Their last four matches played at home have all resulted in wins beating the likes of Celta Vigo 1-0, Barcelona 2-1, Athletico Madrid 3-1 and Levante 3-0. They will be looking to recover after dropping points in their last match which was a 1-1 draw against Osasuna away from home.

As for Racing Santander, they are somewhat the draw specialist here.

Thousands In Spain Protest ETA Sentence

Thousands of people across Spain took part in rallies called by the right wing opposition on Friday to protest the Socialists government's decision to allow a hunger-striking Basque separatist serve out his jail term under house arrest.

The protests in 65 towns and cities come as part of preparations by the Popular Party for a major demonstration in Madrid on Saturday.

The Popular Party claims the government has betrayed Spain's victims of terrorism and bowed to the extremists by moving inmate Jose Ignacio De Juana Chaos, a former leader of the armed group ETA, from a hospital in Madrid to one in the Basque region as a first step toward moving him home under police custody.

Chanting slogans against Prime Minister Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero and waving Spanish flags, more than 5,000 people gathered in southern Seville while an estimated 4,000 gathered in eastern Valencia.

Get Taste Of Spain With Film

Every Friday this month, the West Hartford Library has shown a series of films in honor of Spanish star Fernando Fernn Gmez. This week, there is an additional draw - a cooking demonstration by chef Javier Feijoo of Costa del Sol restaurant in Hartford.

Feijoo is calling it "tapas night."

"I'll be making tortilla Espaola, a potato and egg omelet, which is a very popular thing in Spain," he says. The menu also includes salpicon, a Spanish seafood salad with sherry vinaigrette and, he says, "if allowed at the library, sangria."

Accompanying all this will be "The Grandfather," Jos Luis Garci's 1998 story about a man looking for his real granddaughter. The film is 151 minutes, in Spanish with subtitles, and rated PG.

Feijoo's demo starts at 5 p.m.
